I can't wait to go to the track and smoke a new gt and and a new SS, I will cry when I see there mph on the slip though.:headbonk: I think this might push me over the edge and say f--- the warranty and go for a aftermarket tune. To any tuner willing, I will give you a fair before and after track run with similar weather and track conditions.

I'm not sure whether I'm feeling like many 2010 owners would've felt after the 31% stronger Coyote debuted in model year 2011 -- or if I resonate more with how some 1996-1998 SN95 owners might've felt when the New Edge came out in MY 1999 with its 21% hp PI-heads bump, but with a polarizing facelift.

I've got nothing against the '18s.:ford: I could have waited a few more months for an 18 instead of ordering a '17 which I received this past Sept. I chose to get the 17, for a few reasons - primarily, I was worried about newness issues with the DI engine and the 10sp Auto. Beyond that, I really like the muscular hood on the 2015-17, and didn't love the 18 version, although that might grow on me with time. The wheel options on the 18's didn't move me, while I love the Dark Stainless Metallics I got on my '17. And I really liked the dark saddle seats I got, which aren't offered on the 18's. Finally, the discounts on the '17s and the sticker shock of the '18s sealed the deal.

I like what I'm seeing for power delivery and 21st century features on the '18s, and if the engineering bears out the marketing specs, I can see jumping in a couple of years down the road and grabbing one.

I bought my 17 5 weeks ago knowing the 18 was more powerful. I'm excited to see all the new builds. Just like we'll all be excited to see the 2021 numbers

The MY18 is impressive performance wise. But let's face it as much as I would like a faster car I don't even push my 17 GT. I can't even say if I've WOT yet even though I've had the car sideways on 3/4 throttle.

I'm enjoying the effortless acceleration and relaxed 80+ mph highway speed while getting 28 US mpg.

The extra power of the MY18 is just bragging rights if I was to get one.

If you're tracking the car it would be a decent upgrade

No hate against the '18 from me. I hope it does produce 485HP or whatever the estimates are. I bought my car for the long haul and will keep it regardless. I hope that every single '18 owner is blown away and loves their car as much as I love mine.

Gen 2 coyote is good for 850rwhp all day. I’d get opg just in case.

If the 18s can get to that level and beyond then I’d be butt hurt.
The 18s are heavy pigs, not sure how well they will perform on a road course. If it sucks we have the s650 to look forward to.

Just get the Power pack stage 2...not very expensive and the same performance (for less money).

I could have delayed my 17 for the 18 but when i saw the 18 on that video Ford first released with a faded yellow dropey front

So went for 17. Although the mechanical upgrades are definitely impressive (except ten speed, would get on my nerves having a car constantly changing gears) but then imagine what the 2022 will be like.

Yup I'm in for long haul myself. I used to get cars every year or so but I've settled down from that, mostly, and buy with the intent of keeping them for 4-6 years. There's always something newer and better coming down the pipeline no matter if we're talking cars, boats or whatever
