2017 GT Premium PP - No Heat Extractor Vents - Normal?

Bought a 2017 GT Premium with Performance Package for my wife. The hood doesnt have the Vents. It's on the Window Sticker, but has smooth hood.

Is this common?

Mine has no vents

That is not right. All US GT's regardless of package have hood vents. The European GT's have no hood vents.

Uh, have you looked under the hood? Because I've seen at least 3 "GT" cars that were badged as such but were actually ecoboosts brand new on dealer lots. Theres a thread around here somewhere about it.

My '17 GT PP has the hood vents. Do you have the black PP wheels? Brembo calipers?

Sorry to disappoint..... but yeah, its got PP Wheels, Brembo Calipers, Strut Brace, 6Spd. Just missing the Vents. New, 34miles on it. No damage, looks as if it came that way.

Wrong hood for sure then. Either build snafu or dealer switcheroo.

I would call the dealer and ask them. If they don't help you call Ford directly.

Jokes aside, I would get after them to give you the correct hood. Must have been some weird assembly line problem. Regardless, I'll assume by your name you made the correct color choice, welcome to the GB club. Be ready to be jealous of the attention your wife gets driving it around!

That is strange.

Reads like a last-minute production line build issue. The plant just ran out of the correct hoods, and said "f it", and put an ecoboost hood on.
