if you're on 3.0, official update will still how on ford.owner page. it doesnt realize we're ahead, so it shows it as a new update

FYI guys according to "how to downgrade to official 2.3" instructions, if you went from 1.0, 2.2, 2.3, 3.0 you can downgrade just be using the official 2.3 to go back..

if I didnt read that wrong thats what it suggests if u have nav I suppose. if I knew the risk is minimum id go for it.

you cannot go from 3.0 to 2.3 directly, i recv'd a pop saying you already have the updated software, bummer

got 2.2 and now im going to install 2.3

correct non-nav, i didnt have a successful attempt; im going to try to go back to 3.0 and leave it there since it worked fine

latest 3.0 installed with no issues

i was able to go from the first leaked 3.0 version to 2.2 successfully per the post at f150 forums, i couldnt not go from 2.2 to the official 2.3 due to a memory error, however i was able to go from 2.2 to the new 3.0, very strange

after the 3.0 upgrade i needed to do a master reset again because it was really messed up, so far so good

lets wait for official 3.0, it will come out eventually

I was able to get v2.3 to install by removing the -BB lines from the autoinstall.lst file.

the *-BB.tar.gz is just an upgrade to voice commands, which seems to work fine in v2.2. The issue seems to be that the voice update requires more RAM than is available on the non-nav systems.

So I'm now running v2.3 with v2.2 voice commands.

So this is probably a stupid question, but..... Can you have one device connected to sync for lets say android auto to use maps, but have a separate phone connected for calls and music? I would really like to use waze through android auto when i get an 18, but have an iPhone. So was thinking of picking up a cheap android device just for nav. But not sure you can do this.
