The Waiting Game Begins ...

Long time lurker, first time poster from SE PA.

Just ordered a 2018 GT350 a few days ago. Judging by what I read online regarding the line shut-down in the winter, I suspect the earliest the car would get built is February or March. Guess that means I just do not have to worry about storing anything this winter.

So, let the waiting game begin

My JKR10A Wrangler was a special order, too. It wound up taking four months between the order in January and the delivery in May, so at least I know what to expect. Does not make it any easier, heh.

4 months? I waited a year and a half. I'm sure yours will come sooner.

Good Lord - why so long? I am not familiar with the entire history of the production run (at least as it relates to demand vs supply); read lots of posts about the markups, especially on the Rs.

Was a year a common wait time earlier in the production run?

My circumstance was that I was #3 in line for an R at my dealership. Like I said you should be a lot less. However, winter puts the kabosh on production and wherever you are in line when it all ramps up again will dictate when you get it. Seriously, it could be around 4 to 6 months...... easy

If you got a great deal and you are in no hurry, sit tight. Otherwise I know where you can get an MSRP deal. And drive it off the lot..... at a time of your choosing

The dealer I bought from is one I have used before; bought a Ranger from them over 10 years ago. Not sure if I got a "great deal", but I got to order exactly what I wanted and they gave me MSRP.

As for waiting, does not bother me too much; not sure how much I would be able to drive it the next few months, anyway. PA roads are bad enough without all the salt / brine on them.

Come mid-March, if I am still waiting, I might be singing a different tune, heh.

Did the regular GT350 shut down production over the winter?

No production in December or January for standard 350's
