Center channel speaker

Saludos, has anyone replaced the center channel speaker on the dash? How easy is to remove the plastic grill on top? I changed the doors 6.5 plus tweeters and I'm thinking of also replacing the center channel but don't want to start pulling on the cover and break it. Thanks

Yes just pull up and toward you! It is a slight PITA to remove so don't be afraid to man handle it! You will swear it is screwed down but it is not.

I believe that the dash piece with the vents needs to be pulled away slightly, there are two tabs that tuck under it... just an FYI.

Yes this is correct! easier to remove the piece entirely!

Thanks everyone, any suggestions on which speakers full range? There aren't too many options of single speakers available other than on part express China made but should be better than the factory. For the doors 3.5 I have been looking at Cdt h3, that is if decided to opt for a 3 way system, right now I disconnected them.

You will have to buy a pair of speakers.
