I live in a semi remote area of a Florida town and about 3 times a year a baby turtle will end up in my backyard.

When I first moved in almost 4 years ago, there wasn't as many fences up and I noticed more than one large turtle travelling across my backyard on it's way to the turtle crossing that we have down the street, now that mine and other yards are fenced I am thinking their migration route might have gotten screwed up.

When a baby turtle is found in my backyard it just tugs at my heart strings, they seem so lost, tired and hungry.

Anyone have experience with this, do I give them rare hamburger and some water to drink, do I bring them inside, do I just leave them alone, not sure what to do.

Up to this point I just move them to the back fence area were they can get underneath and access the empty lot behind my house, not sure if this is helping or not.

They taste pretty good when cooked properly. Sort of tastes like tuna.

Maybe just release them on the other side of the turtle crossing?
Hopefully they can follow the turtle ass scent.
