TomTop issues

I follwed the install to the letter and tried all the bug fixes on here and I've done all the instructions stangatx.tk has on his site, but when I get audio in navigation on the nextgen its all static. Primo has no audio. Has anyone else had this? do I have a dead or messed up unit? I got everything else working but if the nav isn't going to work with voice then it isn't worth the price and I'm going to ask for a return.

Go into the navigation program settings. Reduce the volumes to zero, then back to full. Then, go into the TomTop system settings, under navi sound, and do the same. See if that helps. If not, I'd try a system reset. Sorry...that's about all I know to do short of removing the system and checking connections.

Well I've tried 2 different nav programs. How do you system reset the tomtop unit?

Nvm did reset... nope nothing. Still like the video

Try another voice? Short of that, I guess it's time to recheck connections. The TomTop is known to have connections that require significant force to properly seat.

Same result with voice. All other audio seems to work but navigation

Are you running the latest GPS software from StangATX's site?

Tried both. Same result

I've been threatening it with return. I think it got scared lol

Had similar issue with random Chinese errors and it would freeze, even after updates from stangatx it still did it. Then it just started working fine, no issues after contacting vendor I purchased from for a return. These units are very screwy.

And now no nav audio... I'm going to have to reseat connections when I have time to tear my dash apart
