and is there any reason this wont work on the 2016s?
As long as the wiring is correct and no funky programing went into the 16 it should. The 16 base sync system as far as I know is unchanged from the 15's.

Sync 3 would just be a software difference I assume?

Unknown. There might be hardware differences in the APIM. The screen is certainly different as it is no longer a resistive screen but rather a capacitive screen. With that change there will also be supporting hardware differences in the APIM.

Any issues? Some things not work? Any lag in the MFT?

Fully functional! Everything works as expected. The only thing I have not tired and hope to never try is 911 assist.

Thanks. Great work.

I hope in the future this process can be "dumbed down" so that it doesnt require technical expertise to do it. Something much more plug and play friendly.

I am hoping the same! Baby steps at first though... Takes someone crazy like aggieStang and myself to attempt it first!

Actually not bad at all! There are no hidden or hard to reach connections thankfully.

Haha! I have actually been looking for a premium owner to swap with... I want the brushed aluminum of the premium dash.

Haha that is up to the big companies. If one is interested and gets involved it wouldn't take long.

wow this is amazing, I'm going to go ahead and order all the parts and then hold off on the install until the finished bezel is available, great work!

Im assuming SAT radio will also be operational as well?
