Funny thing is, the new crate motor came with and oil pan that didn't have a provision for the oil level sensor in the pan. Tech had to pull the new engine back out and install the old pan.

Hey man sorry to hear that, you know I lost my OPG last summer and replaced my motor as well. Where did you end up getting the motor and was it complete with intake or just long block?

If there would have been an ATI or other balancer on there, would it have prevented, or help prevent the CSS from breaking? Or wouldn't it really have mattered?

It had a 10 rib ATI on it that was in the upgraded Whipple kit.

If he had a rabi inside Ford it's possible. It's also possible if the tech doing the scan wasn't digging he might not find that the PCM was flashed. I looked into this and it has to be searched correctly to find.
