Does anyone know or if they have tried, if the Ford Racing GT-500 axle-back exhaust kit for 2011-2014 Mustang GT's will fit the 2015 GT.

IRS vs. SRA...will not fit.

Copy thx, that's what I was thinking, I thought someone may have tried to modify on their own.

I have not seen anyone do this yet. I don't even know if the mufflers would work.

13 GT500 exhaust is dual tip. Would only work with a Roush valence and a Premium GT bumper cover. Then the muffler would have to be modified to work too. I would love to use my 13 GT500 mufflers on mine and would be OK cutting up a non-Premium cover to make it work but not sure it would come out looking finished enough for me.

You could probably use just the mufflers...depending on how long they are. Not much room to work with. Tips can be cut off & different ones welded on...that's not hard.

Need to cut off the pipes and hangers. Then weld new ones and connect to the stock pipes. I had 2014 gt500 mufflers on my old 2015 and my friend had 2011 style on his 2016. Both sound great. But my 2014s were louder and imo sounded better.

I ran GT500's on my 12' GT and 13' Boss 302 (both with resonators removed) loving the sound of them.

I can tell you that the 18' non-active exhaust is very close IMO. I just removed the resonator and installed the Steeda X bringing it very close to the same sound but a little more exotic as you get in the revs vs. possibly more depth with an H pipe.

Find yourself some 18' GT take offs and modify the tips.

Axle-back itself won't fit, but the mufflers will with some work - as explained by few previous posts.

Also quad tip GT500 mufflers will work with 2018/Roush valence and with GT350 valence if you do a lot of custom work (you can see my thread on this page).

Mufflers, tips and a little bit of the piping after the mufflers does fit, so it's technically an axleback.

So with a bit of work, the axleback can be made to fit and sounds great.

I ran that setup on my 2016

It will fit with cutting of the inlet piping and hanger changes. Its tight, but looks OEM when complete.

I wasn't able to use any of the piping after the muffler, due to the way it's bent in order to work with s197
