Food for thought: If these numbers weren't true, don't you think Ford would've piped up by now? Or will pipe up soon?
Nope.

why would they, if the real #'s are higher it's a win for them when they release them and they gain/lose nothing if they are accurate

Not at all. Ford employees probably get a good laugh and nothing more, if they pay it any attention at all. Especially with the internet, people can make up whatever crap they want and post it for the world to see. I think in the Faster Horse documentary they actually talked about the internet speculation and how funny it was to them.

Other outlets are now spreading that 680hp GT500 number all over the place like it's gospel. Does no one have common sense? Why would Motor Trend publish official embargoed numbers in a magazine set to hit shelves way before any GT500 is likely to arrive? I guess people are gullible or never read a magazine before where BS speculation is what most of the "news" section is.

Just like HPKings did with the GT350 'Ring lap time. It was picked up and circulated like ebola.

EcoBoost specs are now 310 hp and 350 lb/ft. Pretty impressive torque bump!

Well I guess I said 0-60 in 4.0 sec, but read it too fast. It's under 4 sec with 10-speed auto and performance pack. Well I guess the auto's are coming with a performance pack too.
