While that might be a nice to have, I can't believe it does much. There is juts a little profiling along the leading edge. Can't tell if he profiles the screws/shaft on the butterfly. $349 is steep. I doubt a dyno could repeatably show any power delta.

If history repeats with Ford motors, it'll pick up a bit down low. And not much. I remember Accufab's 84.5mm TB for Yote motors picked up below peak torque but essentially did marginally noticeable up top.

Actually dynoed today. I will let the vendor who did the porting share the results if he decides to do so on his Facebook page. Emailing him the results tomorrow. Stock versus stock with ported throttle body, same Dyno, same day, same conditions; track pack 350 and a 350R. I will also ask the gentleman that I dynoed with if he is fine if the vendor decided to share the results.

Long story short, my new buddy "Bahz" and I met today for the first time at THE BEST Dodge/Ford performance shop in Georgia and possibly the Southeast, Injected Engineering. We wanted to baseline our cars and what better than to do a comparison of his R and my Track Pack. Same Dyno, same day, damn near the same atmospheric conditions. The only derivations were my added ported throttle body with a half tank of Quick Trip 93 and Bahz's tank of Shell 93. My car pulled 1.99 horsepower and 11.79 lb feet of torque higher. What's more significant are the gains under the curve where there are noticeable differences in both horsepower and torque from 2000 rpm through 7200 rpm. Noticeable enough that it was discussed at the shop and were not chalked up to gas, which his Shell gas is better than my QT gas or the results being within the noise. The changes were consistent across three Dyno runs apiece for both of us. The runs were made within one hour of the other car. Jay at 1320 Junkie Performance is who did the work on the separately purchased Ford stock 87mm throttle body. I am sending him the Dyno sheet tomorrow. Check out his Facebook page. Great guy, great work and results driven!!! I will be working with him on a project in the very near future on my 350. I also want to thank Bahz; R's in person look mean as hell and his car is sweet! Great guy; he and I will be hitting some car shows and keeping in contact on his progress as he looks to mod his car.

That's exactly what happened with the Coyote and the Accufab 84.5. What about the torque dip at 2500 RPM? Smoothen or flatten out at all?

Same dip but the plotted numbers are markedly different:
Torque
2500 rpm - 261 tq vs 276 tq
3500 rpm - 350 tq vs 369 tq
4500 rpm - 360 tq vs 381 tq
6000 rpm - 375 tq vs 385 tq
Horsepower
3200 rpm - 177 hp vs 193 hp
4500 rpm - 311 hp vs 328 hp
5000 rpm - 360 hp vs 371 hp
6200 rpm - 430 hp vs 440 hp
6700 rpm - 435 hp vs 448 hp

So you did a back to back test with the stock then ported?

Or, you are comparing two different cars - one with ported and one with stock?

Two different cars; one stock and the other ported. Same day, same conditions, dynoed within an hour of one another. Plotted numbers based on the best runs of each which were the third runs for each.

This is very interesting. I know I was one of the ones who was a bit of a naysayer on this test and while I definitely don't think we can take these numbers as gospel I would have expected the R (all things being equal) to post slightly higher numbers due to lower rotating mass from the lighter wheels. If it isn't the throttle body making that difference then you may have a bit of a freak down low.

Air to fuel looked good on mine. I am going to work on another project with Jay at Junkie Performance over the winter as well for this car. I was the first to try this one mod and will be the first on the next project as well, but all in the name of doing something a little different. Trying to get as much out NA on this car as possible. All things being equal, I think it was a worthwhile mod and will only enhance what is done later. Time and money will tell and the good thing is that the financial downside is minimal for the parts.

Well, looks like you beat me to the Dyno on this one! Ha! I too had purchased this ported TB from 1320 Junkie Performance . Jay told me it was 2nd one he had done and I've been anxious to get back to my out of town Dyno Jet to do before / after runs. Unfortunately my schedule hasn't allowed that just yet.
I'm very pleased to see your results & info. shared w/ us! Jay actually sent me this info. this morning!
First time to deal w/ him and I must say I've been very impressed! Enjoy the ride & thanks again.
