I found a 2016 GT Premium but I think the dealer is too high. What's your opinion? My comparison was a 2017 with the same options in black that was $35k, but I'd rather have a DIB which limits me to 2015/16.

It's CPO so you get the extra 1yr/12k warranty similar to PremiumCare after 3/36k plus a 7y/100k Powertrain warranty (from 0 miles/new buy date) with $100 deductible on both. Doing the math from the Flood's that comes out to ~$1200 or less.

Was $34,500 and was reduced to $33,000 recently. They've had it for about 3 months. KBB FMV shows between 30k-34k.

2016 GT Premium Coupe, Deep Impact Blue, 6 Speed.
9800 miles.
Equipment Group: 400A

Options:
Head/Cooled Seats
Performance Pack: Spoiler Delete/3.73 Torsen/19" Ebony wheels
Reverse park assist
Leather 6-way power seats (both sides)
Voice Nav

No mods other than stripes that I could see. May have mufflers as it was louder on start up than the 2017 I drove, but didn't crawl under it.

What would be a good price minus the $2100 in tags and fees?
You should be around $30k for that car or less. If they won't take $30k walk out and wait them out or keep searching. I know you prefer the 15/16 but 17s can be had for $32k brand new in 400a trim.

Funny you say that. My offer to them was $30k OTD. They said no and asked them to do the $33k OTD and said they won't eat $2k in taxes. Thanks for reaffirming I'm on base.

Yeah you're right on base. I cant see them having more than 30k in it so they're not desperate to sell it yet.

As far as I can figure is the dealer is an a somewhat affluent area and can get away with it. Even their internet price on new cars is $2-3k higher than identical cars in other areas.

When I told them the shadow black GT with identical sticker items was $35k they told me to go buy that one.

I think you can find better deals. Might have to travel a bit for the right car but it's worth it in the end. In OKC the prices aren't that competitive so I drove down to Dallas (3 hours away) and got a deal for a 2017 GT Premium for 31.4k.

Thanks all. I'll keep looking/watching. I'm doing nationwide searches also and not afraid to travel. I drove 700 miles to get my previous GT.

Talked to them today. They have 32k in it but willing to go to $31.6 possibly if I finance with them.
