With the order banks opening up on the 17th, is there any reliable information on the 18MY yet? We know colors and that's about it. My local dealer has agreed to an '18 R at MSRP, but has no allocations, or if there have been any changes made. It's pretty much a fact that there won't be any performance changes, but maybe some cosmetics...???...the new lights? If the cars are identical to the '17's, I may not wait. There's a few '17's out there and still some on the way to the dealers.

Its a pickle for sure. 18 vs 17 = No difference. I've been calling around for pricing and all the dealers think that the R's will command 20KADM+. That isn't going to go away anytime soon until the cars sit around on the showroom floor. That will take some time (if a market correction is in order). If I could secure a R allocation for '18 with confirmation from the rep that it is a true allocation, then I would pursue that avenue (if you can get a better deal). Make sure your deposit is refundable, because you never know how this will play out. It doesn't hurt to call around, but you will find a very frustrating struggle ahead of you.

Best of luck

I'm hoping to grab an 18 as well although not an R. I'm waiting for Ford to release some Press images on the new colors though since there are no changes to the either the GT350 or the R.

I was curious where MP0034 ended up as I almost bought your car and if I recall correctly I may have test drove your car.

When I looked at your car it had 4889 miles on it and was in pretty good condition for a "Mass Production" car.

You may already know this but MP0034 was the very last Black Laguna Seca built for the 44 MP cars (regular Boss and LS cars) assembled for the 2012MY.

The next car assembled right after your car was an Ingot Silver Laguna Seca followed up by the very last 2012 MP Laguna Seca and that car was painted in Grabber Blue and was sold at the 2011 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale for $450,000.

If I recall all Mass Production cars for the 2012MY were all built in December 2010.

Here is a picture of PP0001 that was sitting pretty much right next to your car and should have taken a picture of both of them together.

Fortunately I found PP0002 on the same Ford dealer lot 5 months later.

I assume that you bought MP0034 in South Carolina?

Congratulations on owning one of these very early pre production Boss 302 cars!!

Any pictures of your car would be great!

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Do we know for sure there are no changes? I've seen nothing official. I don't understand why the 18MY release is so late...???

So you found a dealer that's willing to sell you an R at MSRP but they don't have any allocation? You could be waiting forever to get your R.

The dealer is hoping that the OP will give up and take a non-R

Most that don't have an allocation never get one. My dealer said I could have their R and under MSRP if they could get one. They never could and never will.

If they didn't have an R allocation the last 2 years, then it is unlikely they will receive one this go around.

Did they have one before?
