Nice read so far Bryn. I thought I waited a long time to start my thread but damn dude

Agree on the 3M vinyl off the bat. My front is just shredded so no sense in doing mine now. In about a year or so I will either get it repainted or do the Steeda...then I will get it wrapped.
Thanks Lance! Yes I know, long overdue. I've got a ton of work to catch up to all my mods now LOL

I really wish I had just gotten the Steeda fascia clear bra'd too. Already has a few chips in it, but I suppose it's unavoidable

I always liked the old school GTs with the side scoops. Had my eye on them Roush units for a while so I decided to go in on a group buy with my GTFO bros. Paint matched, of course

Super easy install! Did it on my lunch break at work. Side note if anyone is thinking of doing these USE THE PROVIDED TEMPLATES! They fit in the crease of the body lines, not right on them where a lot of people(inlcuding myslelf) wanna put em. These things are not functional in any way but damn do they look good on the s550! I think they really compliment the exisiting lines and accent that wider, muscular rear end

Now I've mentioned before how important the heritage of this iconic pony was to me and why I went with the 50th package. I was however growing tired of that gaudy chrome grill on my blacked out Stang. I still wasn't sure I actually wanted to paint it but I knew I still wanted that bar so I figured what better way to test it out? Enter the dreaded P word...yep, plastidip.

Not quite ready to remove my bumper so I taped it up and masked the car with newspaper. It worked alright but ended up coming out a bit clumpy in some spots. All the same got the result I was looking for...

Thanks Kevin! The circular one on the lower part of the window is a Bassani Xhaust sticker "Power You Can Feel"

We are all bending down on our knees and thanking God Almighty that Ford gave us the MT82 right? SAID NO ONE EVER! By this time GTFO is about 15ish members deep and we've had two guys already blow a tranny. Meanwhile I'm over here dreading this and wondering how I can avoid it...cuz tranny problems are never a good thing :tsk: Enter Barton Industries. Why Barton? Well, Steeda's Tri Ax wasn't on the market and at the time Barton had just come out with their transmission mount so it didn't seem that MGW had the upper leg. Barton short throw shifter, trans mount and driveshaft loop...

I had the guys over at EFI Powerhouse do the install and wow what a difference! I must say I absolutely hated this thing the first week of having it LOL so stiff, so heavy, it seemed you needed to manhandle it to get it to move. One week later and I'm so in love with this Barton setup! Banging through the gears was never this precise and all worry of missing a shift has completely disappeared like a fart in the wind :ninja:

I'm sure most of you know what's going on here. Weight reduction!

The GT350 steering wheel perfectly compliments the s550 interior. It feels so much better than stock and the install is pretty straight forward. Unplug battery, push pins in to unlock airbag/wheel, unplug connections, remove plastic parts to transfer over to new wheel, secure new wheel in place, reconnect wires, reinstall plastic covers, and enjoy! By far one of the best mods you can do to your Mustang because of how much you are using it. The alcantara and flat bottom wheel looks awesome and the leather center line indicator adds a nice racecar touch.

Speaking of racecar, what's a Mustang without a good tune right? Enter Lund Racing which I chose because of their reputation as a solid tune and the ability to utilize the nGauge. Sure it looks pretty compared to the SCT but I was more concerned with its ease of use and functionality. It can be mounted to the windshield but I opted to run the line up through the dash for a cleaner look.

The car feels good with the tune. Stronger. Of course more is always better so after not too long I called on JLT for an intake.

Something about finally being tuned and having an intake that gives a guy a potentially false sense of power. Well I had to test it out and this wasn't a false sense of anything. Sorry I don't have video but I ran with a couple of random dudes on the highway. First wasn't really even close. 2014 Dodge Charger R/T, unknown mods. Walked him. Second was his buddy in a CTS V. Not sure exactly what year but it was also a sedan and full of bodies so I know I was at least a few hundred pounds lighter. He got me but I kept up and felt good about the car in its current status :D

Behind every good man there is a woman that stands by him and supports him. Well, not every man. But I feel the need to introduce the one that has stuck with me through all things racecar and supported myself and GTFO since day one. She doesn't drive a Stang but her little Benzo is quite a looker too. So a big thank you to the lady in my life, @ele_iggy

Ele has hooked the Hoon King up with a few parts, accompanied me on road trips for parts and stuck it out at events even when the boys and me are waking up before sunrise to get that good spot at the show. Love ya babay!

OK back to racecar things. My woman actually decided to go do something nice for me and grab me a shift knob from the guys over at Flossy. We had talked about it before and she opted for the Premium Shorty in 8 ball black. Engraved with the name Eleanor(my car) and the House Stark wolf's head cuz I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan!

Installing the new knob is a breeze and I gotta say not only does the added weight of the knob feel amazing on my Barton but the custom look really adds to the interior of the car. I'd highly recommend this to anyone because the personalization is something that you just can't get anywhere!

Next up was a simple exterior mod. It was high time to do away with the chrome 5.0 badging so I hit up UPR for some black badges. Since I had decided that matte black and yellow would be my accent colors I also picked up some yellow vinyl and fitted some pieces over the red dots. Here's the finished product...

It's time for more power. And more loud. After doing a lot of research I decided that I was gonna take the plunge and go with long tubes. A huge thank you to my brothers @dezl50 and @projectwhitemare for making donations for this to be able to happen and also to @5liter_shark for arranging the deal with Bassani Xhaust! I got in touch with Gary from Bassani and told him what I was looking for. A few days later I made the trip down to their manufacturing facility to pick up my headers. I was a pleasure dealing with Gary and Bassani. I was also very pleased when I saw them. Bassani Xhaust started as a motorcycle exhaust company and had expanded into the automotive community. They make everything to order in house at their facility in Southern California and utilize mandrel bent 16 ga. stainless steel for their long tubes and their craftsmanship is unparalleled.

This one right here is for my GTFO brothers...

GTFO D RUNS DEEP!

For the install I was gonna have my brother @papabearob help out since he's got access to a shop and a lift but things didn't work out as planned with my work schedule and I wasn't able to miss a day to get it done. So once again I hit up the guys over at EFI Powerhouse to get my headers in.

Wow. All I'm gonna say is WOW :eyebulge:

Heard your car at sand city and it was sweet!! Goes to show that you don't need to drop thousands to have a nice clean build.
