You're going to lose your ass unless you put down a big down payment.

Up to you, though. :)

That's why I ordered mine loaded to the gills from the get-go. Can never have too many features. I'm in the car for hours every day, I want it as nice as can be.

Maybe 29k-30k range? Auto or Manual? Why do you want to trade up to the premium?

As Zemedici stated, you're going to take a big hit. I think you're better off assessing what it is about the premium you desire most, and trying to implement those things in your current car. That may be a cheaper route

buy the dash and the gauges.

find someone to do a recaro swap with your cash on top.

the a/c and heated seats aren't very cool anyways. definitely not worth thousands to get the new car with them.

you're better off selling it out right but you're gonna lose either way.

these are types of decisions people should make before buying :p

Keep your base, premium is not worth the loss on your trade.

You're going to take a pretty big hit...$2500-$3000 if I had to guess. I was in the car sales biz for about two years. You need to be in a vehicle about 1.5-2 years to break even. Your best bet is to try & sell it to someone. Trading it in....gonna hurt!

I'd keep your car. The premium is a nice interior upgrade but you won't enjoy the car any less owning a base. It's the 5.0 that brings the smiles... not the leather seats or dashboard.

Same reason I got my GT loaded with just about every option. I didn't see it worth it to me to buy a new model mustang and get basic interior. Car has nice exterior lines and I think interior should be just as nice. The premium interior is the icing on the cake IMO. Luxury and performance in a Mustang is a first in my book. Previous mustangs had nice exterior and power but interior seemed on the cheep side. Like if ford didn't really give it too much thought. However the S550 has the interior I was looking for and the power to match its good looks. :ford:

Getting back to OP, don't really think you will get back much if you sell right now. I would wait it out and keep the miles low and maybe you'll break even. Or just keep it and change the seat covers. Right now there is a listing on craigslist for black leather seat covers for $800 in the Inland Empire, CA section. I would switch the seat covers and check ebay / craigslist for mustang part outs and get the interior dash from one of them.
