So very early on during my ownership I noticed a low belt squeal from the 3.7 during idle. This seemed to only happen at certain temperatures/times. It all seemed to go away after about 5min so I didn't worry about it. On top of this it seemed to go away completely after about 3000 miles. Now however it is coming back with vengeance... It happens almost every time I start the car now and under hard acceleration it can be heard squealing just before a shift.

I have done some research and it seems as though there was a TSB out for the 13 mustang for this same issue. Video below is exactly what I have been experiencing. According to the TSB it was the accessory drive belt and tensioner. Will be doing more research and taking the car in at some point to have these two parts replaced.

Same issue with mine. Also replied in your other thread in the V6 forum.

I didn't notice the issue originally when I picked up the car about a week ago. After driving all week and putting about 500 miles on the car, I noticed the noise the other day. Once the car is warmed up, it seems to go away but I'm not entirely sure.

Either way I feel it's an issue that shouldn't be there. Good (and bad) to know other people are having this issue.

I suggest taking yours in and having them replace the accessory drive belt and tensioner as per the TSB for the 12-13. This noise will unfortunately stick around and not go away if nothing is done...

Got a video of mine doing it. You have to turn the volume up but it can be heard.

My 14 had this issue too but the dealer was unable to reproduce it. Happens most when the engine is cold.

I have this issue frequently on cold start up (even in 90+ degree weather). I am debating on whether to get it checked out or not.

Well my belt squeal has gotten worse... Almost every time I turn on the car now no matter the environmental conditions it squeaks. Found this tsb so I will be taking my car in sometime in the coming weeks to get it addressed. FordService you there?

Got the car back from service today. They replaced the main accessory drive belt and it seems to have fixed the squeak. We shall see as time goes on if it returns. So far though it seems like an easy enough fix!
