Yes - I know its July, but I live in Minnesota so we can get snow any day LOL

Question I have - I am purchasing a 2017 GT w/ the Performance Pack on it, and though we have zero intent on driving it in the cold / snow, in case the need arises I would like to buy some wheels & Tires to put on the car just in case we need to drive it in the winter.

That being said - has anyone managed to fit 18" wheels (even if steel) over the Brembos? More tire options in 18" thats for sure.

Not many 18s fit the PP brakes.

Id just buy some 19inch nokian hakkapeliitta snow tires.

I drove all last winter in North Dakota on those. my car has the black accent package 19s on it.

Those nokians are easily the best money ive ever spent on tires.

I just put the car back on firestone indy500s for summer because the p zeros are garbage lol.

set of these

You can't run 18s there's only like 1 or 2 wheels that will barely eek over the brakes. I run 19s with Mich Xice3, had no problems at all getting around when I needed them but Kansas City had a really like winter last year as far as precip goes, never had more than 2" on the ground at one time.

The right 18's will fit. But the selection is rather limited (but more than "1 or 2").

Suggest you price out 18 VS 19" packages. Maybe upgrade to wider wheels & tires and use the stock wheels for winter?

Buy someone's take off PP wheels and slap on your snow tire of choice.

Also, the right research will yield 19" steel wheels that'll fit.

Mighty expensive wheels for winter use.
I agree. Which is why I suggested he should compare the package price. I am in the south, so am not familiar with how the tire selection and cost varies for 18 VS. 19" snow tires. But I expect you can save more buying cheaper 19" wheels than you can save using cheaper 18" tires.

But if you want/need a 2nd set of wheels, I would buy wider & lighter performance wheels and use the heavy stock wheels for my winter package. Worst case you have to pay extra to remount the stock tires if you haven't worn out the Pirrellis yet. Then you have better performance year round.

Id rather rock cheaper wheels and better tires than expensive wheels and cheap tires everyday of the week just sayin..........

Tires = buy the best set of rubber you can.

I just replaced the P-Zero's with continental extreme contact DWS. I didn't notice a decline in handling and it's good in the rain and light snow.
I have a '17 GT PP as well.
