Clutch not fully engaging on upshifts ?

Everyone, I am chasing a ghost on my friends 2016 GT350. When accelerating hard and up shifting the clutch doesn't engage completely until after 1 or 2 seconds (seems like that much time - could be less) - This only happens at the upshifts and not all the time, its intermittent. I tested it again today and guess what? It now engages as it should.

I feel like its a Master/Slave cylinder is going out / defective. Has anyone come across this and if so can you tell them what the issue was?

I'm not thinking too much into it but I have noticed recently that my trans is biting a little bit on upshifts. I think I just might be a little lazy right now though. I'll think about it more on my drive home.
