I just received my MGW shifter. I ordered it with a custom shift knob. The time and effort put into this design is evident. Very easy ordering process and quick delivery. I'll be installing it in the next couple of weeks.

Looks great. I really want to order one.

Do you know if you can get the laser etched shift knob cobra medallion in red (vs black)? OK for knob to be black, just want the cobra logo piece in red

Good luck with install. Let us know how it goes.

Received mine a few days back too. Will put 1000+ miles on the car before the install. According to George the 3160 will almost always show any issues within the first 1000 or so miles and is generally problem free thereafter.

The way I look at it, the shifter is a component I interface with every time I drive. The improved feel and crispness of the MGW adds positively to the driving experience, so, I feel it is worth it.

I'm honestly not sure. Give them a call. I wouldn't be surprised if they could. I'll definitely keep you posted.

If you are doing the install yourself, if you search, I posted a PDF with step by step instructions, with tips, that follows along with the most recent install video.

I like to disassemble things.

George can start with a red anodized "coin" and have the laser burn through that. The laser itself doesn't burn colors but can vary how light or dark based on the frequency that is programmed.

Well put. It is your point of connection to the transmission/engine. The MGW is much more in line with the purpose of the car than the Camaro inspired unit the car is saddled with from the factory.
