Why can't they produce some of the throwback colors? Acapulco Blue, Guardsman blue etc like they did with Grabber Blue. Lightning has been the closest to those colors. Kona Blue might be worse than DIB.

Deep Impact and Lightning are superior to Kona. I've owned Mustangs in all three colors.

My ranking:
1) Lightning Blue - because it looks blue all the time
2) Deep Impact Blue - because it looks awesome in the sun but purplish in the shade
3) Kona Blue - looks nice in the sun but not as much pop as Deep Impact Blue; looks purple at night; almost like black to keep clean

2018 production will be mostly R's. Production on Tracks and Convenience already happening. I heard 1000 non R's and 1500-1800 R's.
So much for exclusivity (and possibly ADMs) if true....

Ford never promised that only "X amount" of "R's" would be made! And relatively speaking, even if they do 1000-2000 R's in 2018, it's still a small number overall.

The R has won so many awards and has been recognized as a world class vehicle, I'm glad they are putting more out there for the masses to enjoy! I love going to a track and seeing them there, not just sitting in garages of speculators.

Back on the topic of color- I'm in love with Lightning blue, Kona just seems "blah" to me. I would have preferred that they kept Grabber, seems to be a much more intriguing color on a GT350.

As it stands, that looks like a pretty bland color.
Needs stripes!...still waiting to see the orange with black stripes. It's between that and the race red....

:amen: I was disappointed to see the Grabber go away.

I'm sure it is a production unit. Got 2 2018's here in Chicagoland. Supposedly execs cars. I thought order bank open in a week but I also was told if I want my "R" now is the time. 2018 production will be mostly R's. Production on Tracks and Convenience already happening. I heard 1000 non R's and 1500-1800 R's. There has been no consistency on the 350gt. We will see what happens. Thought about a gt350r but then I have to get rid of a car or withdraw my Demon spot. I think the Demon will be the better choice?
This is the first I'm hearing of this for '18 R production. How reliable is your source?
