Ask your dealer, our dealer fitted ours

i want OEM style just like blagz.

i contacted the company in melbourne but at this stage he wont ship the sensors to me in sydney.

MCS Electronic Services purchase their sensors directly from the manufacturer in Italy. It might be worth a try to ask him if he would mind contacting his supplier to find a Sydney based installer who also purchases them, so that you can contact them,

I paid $650 inc GST for dealer supplied Sentry sensors.

Look exactly like OEM, and are colour coded.

Rocker switch fitted next to steering column on LHS out of sight.

Biggest downside is remembering to turn them on and off, as they pick up road barriers etc when vehicle is in motion.

Would be better if they switched off over a certain speed (10kmh) like the my XR5.

I haven't posted in this thread since I got my Mustang, with front sensors arranged by my NZ dealer from a local third party supplier. The sensors are excellent and fit flush in the same way as the circle for the tow attachment. I have an audio alarm and lights fitted in the middle of the dash just below the windscreen. I was worried the display would look ugly but it is really discrete. I like the lights as they are progressive and less intrusive than the audio alarm (which I find a bit noisy). I would be lost without these sensors as I find it impossible to judge where the front of the car is. Overall, I'm really happy.

I'm Sydney based and a week or so off collecting my Mustang.

I've been quoted $985 (inc GST) by the dealer for front parking sensors.

Did anyone get a better dealer price recently for just purchasing the front sensors (and not the paint protection etc)?

Is there anything better available from 3rd parties at a cheaper cost?

Thanks

Yes $100.00 less from mine, Sinclair Ford in case you are wondering.

That's very expensive. I paid $450 full installed and they definitely look OEM.

Take a look at the post by BLAGZ on the previous page. I'm not sure yet whether anyone has tracked down a supplier/installer of these outside of Melbourne,

Hello all ,
Just a quick note to say I had Tim from MCS Electronic Services fit front sensors and a Thinkware F770 dashcam this week , I can recommend his workmanship - second to none , great job.

Done. Comes with a discreet switch to turn them off if you want to as well.

Anne, I'm looking at adding these to my car (just over $100 for a kit). Do you know what brand yours is? I was really interested to see how far around the bumper your outer sensor is. Any blind spots?

I'm half-way through my install. I had hoped I would be able to reach-up from underneath and access the back of the sensors - sadly not so for the inner 2 - the bumper definitely has to come off.
