Hi all

My car has developed another interesting issue and was just wondering if anyone else had encountered it?

Basically, all was working fine on Saturday morning, but when I went out again on Saturday evening I couldn't get any sound at all to come out of the ICE speakers. I've got a 2016 GT with Sync 2 and satnav and the subwoofer in the boot. While the Sync 2 screen seems to be working as the satnav and phone tabs all work and I can change stations/inputs on the radio tab, I simply can't make it emit any sound from the speakers at all from any of the tabs, not even the little "boop" noise it makes when you switch to the satnav screen and the warning message comes up. :(

I also can't hear incoming phone calls as the speakers aren't working.

Thinking I was being a muppet I have tried the following:

1) turning up the volume (before some comedian suggests it! :p);
2) rebooting Sync 2 by holding the power and right seek buttons (done this 3 times); and
3) done a master reset using the Sync 2 menu

But nothing seems to make a difference.

Has anyone else had this and if so, how did you fix it? Any suggestions gratefully received!

Otherwise it's another trip back to the dealers... *sigh*

Thanks in advance!

I had this happen to me - once. I set off on a journey and no sound at all. Tried everything except switching off the ignition as i was driving but nothing still. After i stopped, engine off, lock car etc and hopped back in - all back to normal.

Really bizzarre but it was a one off for me so i didnt follow up.

Was sync 2 as well.

Have you tried a car reset (The battery way).

Remove neg cable for 15mins, put it back on, pray it works.

If it's still cocked, could be loose wires, fuse, etc.

I couldn't get my phone to play Spotify though the Sync 2 even though all the screens on the phone and Sync 2 were showing the correct track but there was no sound.

It turned out that the problem was because the phone was on mute

Well just to bring this one to a conclusion in case it helps others, I tried checking all the fuses (all fine) and leaving it a couple of days to see if it sorted itself out, with no luck.

I then tried Manders Mustang's suggestion of disconnecting the battery for 15 mins, and this seems to have resolved the problem! *Fingers crossed*

So if anyone else has this - disconnect the battery!

Thanks for all the suggestions! The joys of Mustang ownership...:headbonk:
