Why do you want these 'things' ? Apparently they are extremely dangerous and they are known by our Government and Enforcement Agencies to 'suck pedestrians in and mangle them'. :headbonk:

Fuck me... So me and Snorty are the two left standing. and even then, my passanger one has began to slightly lift. It's ziptied at the moment and i've got some brackets being made and sent to keep these in.

When mikes fix is about i'll be back down and he'll be fixing them.

I really do hope Mike's fixing and applying the go forward solution free of charge. Otherwise, more backlash than it's needed.

These are one of my favourite mods (But i say that about all of mine) look mean as shit, and i love them... But, them flying off gives me a very sour taste in my mouth :(! If you've got them, i'd be holding off doing them for a while.

If you are talking about my pics, the front bond did take. If you look at the pic, you can see the faded paint where the bond was, its the middle one that didn't take.

The fact is, the bond thats been used should work, its the same stuff that spoilers, side skirts and all sorts are held on with. but I think there are a few things going on here causing the failures. These have been installed by people like modurstang and my body shop, who I would recommend to anyone.

I think that the hood takes a hammering once the vent is cut out and the top skin is aloud to vibrate and can be pressed when washing etc. I intend packing out between the two skins of the hood to stop this.

We are also looking to pack out between the hood and the vent and bond over a larger area.

They wont come off again....if they do, I will buy a US or aftermarket hood!
Me too Steve

I love em, so far after Fortis re-attached mine and with similar heat and speed applied to the car as was the case in France, no lift.

FWIW mine were okay for a while, even having driven at 152. My pasanger side has lifted slightly. I'm having some brackets made and sent down to me so will mount these hopefully monday/tuesday and should stop them flying off. Then will wait for Mike to call and say the new solution is in place and get him to refit them properly.

I honestly would hate to have to buy a new hood from this, but, if no solution works that'll have to be it.
