Project Kraken

Hey all,

as some of you may know I'm currently working on a friends Ecoboost and have been on and off over the last couple of months advising on mods and helping source them for him.

I've now got his car in my garage for the next week or so doing a shedload of mods whilst he's on holiday so thought it best I keep you all updated with what's happening.

The car has been dubbed "Kraken" by it's owner Adi and hasn't been christened yet, but will be shortly christened when he arrives to pick her up.

I'll reserve some posts below for the different stages and add pictures later on.


Stage 1 (Pre Manders Garage mods):

Air raid intake tube

Stage 2: Mod week at mine.

First off, picked the car up before Ford Fair and picked some of the final goodies up there. The car was packed to the brim in the boot with mods to do!


First up, a Red Boot strap from @Centurion07 (Customfordracing.co.uk)


Redline touring hood struts & removal of the metal twig: (Flipped around since picture - thanks [MENTION=20439]Jimboy2[/MENTION])




Red Sidemarkers (No LED/No tint):


Mishimoto Catch can with Blue silicone hoses


Gloss black splitter / Side Skirts / Rear Diffuser





Gloss black grilles and fog surrounds


Rosso Red Foliatec painted brake calipers



Coplus Sequential indicators from OverclockersUK (@Gibbo205)


Custom leather retrimmed kick pads (By me)



Gloss black air raid tube (by me)



Race Red Air box cover (By me)

Stage 3 (Post manders)

There's also Intercooler, and Tune+ Tune on the cards. a Cobb is on it's way too.

Ha, if only. I just do odd jobs on them, if people are willing to leave them with me... Pricing wise I just pull it out my ar$e, all o fthis I've done for next to nothing.

Painting parts was £100 and then all the work I've done for an air raid intake tube. Sure if I charged £30-60 an hour I'd be living it up, even with me way ahead of schedule and having a few hours tonight to go play footie with the lads at work :lol:

But having seem the quality of your work on here on your car and others, you take pride in your work on your car and other people's cars, I would be happy to leave my baby with you

Appreciate that ! Yeah, to be honest, I just like seeing pretty Mustangs.


Update on Kraken. I finished all my work on it today.


I've been vacant from forums as i've been busy with work, in training courses and outside of work hours, i've been.... Erm, working on mustangs :lol:!

Did you mean to say 'Projet' or was it meant to be 'Project' ffs magnets, I thought it was some exotic tune

If i price it up to £450 maybe DS will want it ;)!

The hand job would cost you lowzy fucks more than you could get your hands on. and even then i'd outsource it to a hooker :lol:

Update on Kraken. All work finished my end engine and car wise. Owners asked for no photo's until he's seen it. Just finishing painting the intake and it's ready.

Pickup in Monday, off to get lowering springs done and red tails soon too.
