FL insurance lobbyists made sure we can't shop around. I'm going to buy the 8yr/100k mile for two thousand something bucks. No brainer when you are keeping the car for the rest of your life.

Absolutely it's worth it for peace of mind. I got the 8yr/60k warranty and maintenance. Props to Ford for making this engine, but as of now, it's unproven on the street.

So no discounts among FL dealers on this program? Regardless Seems like a good deal if you're going to beat on it for sure.

What do you get to prove you got the warranty asked for?

I will opt in for an extended warranty what have you folks been paying I do see the one for 650 dollars for 8 years that seems unbelievable good deal

I'm seeing $760 cost for 6/60 w/$50 ded...again higher then sale price quoted earlier.

I bought a 10 year/120,000 mile warranty with Zurich, from a Chevy dealer, for under 300/year. Stays with the car if I hit my head or get a lobotomy and decide to sell. Great selling point, " get my asking price and I'll throw in the warranty, lower and I cancel it."

But for the piece of mind I had no problem. Also spent ~$500 for a repair/replace warranty for tires, rims, paintless dent removal and windshield. Figure this one will get plenty of use in and around New York City.

I agree with everyone here, it's a small price to pay for peace of mind. I got the one from Ford when I bought the car. There are some expensive parts on these cars, not to mention the R. No one knows how long these engines will last, especially since some burn more oil than others. It may be normal according to Ford, but just in case, the replacement is on them. Just get the extended warranty.

I get $760 and I have direct access to ESP price data base but for Texas, maybe different elsewhere.

Its $100 more if your car is over 1 year old, so that is probably the difference you're seeing.
