The more critical thing to me would be getting dirt between the film and paint. You're a better man than me for trying that outside.

The car is back from xpel/wrap. The roof is wrapped black with no xpel over it. I think I want to Xpel over the roof wrap. First, did you buy the kit cutouts for the car from xpel or did you buy the stuff in rolls and cut to fit? Second, my installer tried to talk me out of doing the roof myself. You just did yours, I would like your opinion.

Tomster - I would do it only with previous experience with film application. The roof is a big are and awkward to work on. If you want practice, put a clear bra on your wife or girlfriend's car first (not at same time, preferably).

Got the car back from CeramicPro coating today (had Xpel done last week). Happy with the way it came out and very glad I didn't attempt the install. Had the full front wrapped, A pillars with the first part of the roof, down the rockers and in front/behind the rear wheels.
