Front Brake Pads - Nationwide Backorder

FR3Z-2001-L - Ford Kit - Brake Lining is now FR3Z-2001-J

No one has them and I have been told they will not be available until the end of October!

My last HPDE was hard on the front brakes and with another one planned mid Oct I have to explore other options. Not good...aftermarket options for both street and track? What have others tried, reviews?

It just so happens I have an extra set in my garage. But my current pads are at the noise makers thanks to Thunderhill. Lasted a whole 1600 miles.

Would the R12 compound (which I know would be fine for the street) have more initial bite and fade resistance than the stock pads? In other words are they an upgrade from stock? Anyone try them?

I called a couple of them. They don't have them either. Many say in stock online but they are not.

Ah...well that's not good. I'm going to Road Am in a week and I fully expect to obliterate my brakes.

Check with these guys, they are local to me, I have talked to them about brake pad options for my GT350. I have yet to replace mine, they carry Brembo and Pagid brake pads.

A Customer was very happy with the R12/R10 combo at Barber. He is on another track related forum tho. He runs the GS-1's on the street.

I should have more GT350 stuff next week, what I have left is spoken for except a R18 compound and R8's. Vorshlag should have some on the shelf.

Someone should look for GT350 pad shape in the Raybestos ST-47 Nascar short track compound. It's the Spec Iron compound of choice. Cheap and excellent all around. I have just tested it on the S197 car and I'm sold. So far it's 1/2 price and twice as good as anything else I've tried.
