Have the production dates been announced for 2018 GT350 orders and production runs?

I thinking of waiting for Kona Blue.

Wouldn't hold your breath man.... they haven't officially confirmed 2018 yet :D

2019 will almost certainly see the next SE mustang, possibly the GT500 for a 3 year run from 19-21' before the S650 comes in.

I have no interest in any other SE. No matter what they build. I want a GT350. I'm just trying to decide which combo of options and color I want. I'm in no rush. I'm going to sell two more vehicles before I get mine.

.
I believe that Ford has, in fact, announced the 2018MY GT350 with no changes to the car except a few new exterior colors.

For MY16 & 17, I think order banks opened sometime in mid April.

Not sure if this is 100% accurate so just passing the message as relayed to me, but for MY2018 specifically, the R allocation distribution to dealerships is via a lottery process.... can anyone confirm?

That would be in keeling with what ford has done up to now. IDK, I may try to pick up a 2018 R depending on cough cough ADM.

For MY16/17 it was based on prior years mustang sales which yielded a GT350 allocation. I think once a dealer got 3 GT350 spots, they were given an R spot. Is that changing?

That's what I'm wondering because according to a regional Ford rep.... MY2018 R allocation to dealerships will be via a lottery system. That's what was passed on to me so who knows....

I could be wrong, but I thought I read that they were only making 500 GT500s? Maybe that was the Anniversary Edition.

My understanding is that in addition to different color options there may be a couple of tweaks to the front end design but nothing that I have seen confirmed so far.

Based on ordering my 2017 R model last year the order banks did open up in mid April and had my VOC by April 27th with delivery of my car by mid July so suggest this year should be somewhat the same.

;)

Except for this year is a refresh year so there may be a light amount of retooling on the line and start production later.

I certainly agree and suggest that 2018MY production for the GT350/GT350R could be delayed until late July or even early August based on as you say subject to some retooling in FR.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I ordered a 2017 R around June last year. It still has not arrived. I received a call from my dealer yesterday and I specifically asked my sales guy and an "expert" at the dealership who has direct communication to the Ford execs. I mentioned that I was not comfortable paying ADM if there will be an '18 GT350 or GT350R. He assured me that he knew for certain that there will be no '18 GT350. He also said that the voodoo will be used for the '19 or '20 GT500 and that the engine will be supercharged. That could explain the leak that the engine will continue to be produced.

I hope he is correct in all of what he told me!

Don't shoot the messenger - just passing on the info...(!)

Well that'd be a swift kick, and would certainly result in dealerships continuing the 10-15k ADM in my area. Hopefully we get some official info soon.

I need to know (officially, from Ford) if they will produce the 2018 BEFORE I pay for my car late March/early April as that will directly impact my negotiating power and overall cost. If we don't hear for certain, I may have them sign something stating that if 2018 is produced, I get $x returned to me.
