Aussie S550 Twin Turbo 9.3@148

we finally got to take the car out the other night for the first time to test out the TT setup @ Sydney Dragway, we put a 'Glide in (manual was bought, we had a 'Glide laying around so we thought why not ), she knocked out [email protected] (track she saw 14.5-15.2psi) weighed 4114lbs, 290-300lbs of that was driver :lol: 1st pass we just wanted to test the track as they don't really prep it for Wednesday nights as it's just mainly 11-sec or slower street cars. left on 3psi it went a 1.58 60', backed off around the 500' mark, the track is strict on the faster cars and they enforce IHRA rules. next pass we went for 4.5psi, went a 1.45 60'it was decided that if the car launched hard and felt good then stay into all the way, 9.3-seconds later, 14-months (the setup was just done in spare time) of relief got lifted off the shoulders

I'm going to take a wild guess and say its the stock motor as there are plenty of 700 plus rwhp GT's in here on the stock motor. Congrats to the OP for a great pass! :cheers:

the motor is stock with OPG/CG it's just hitting 14.5-15psi at the strip. there's a 9.15-9.19 in it i reckon if we get the 60' down and leave with a bit more boost. being a PowerGlide it has a 1.8 first gear, which i'd probably like a bit more if it had a TH400 or leaving in 2nd on a 6R80, we will be trying a 6R80 later in the year as well as a manual.

new PB for the Mustang, got 3 passes in, 1st pass it backed up the 9.33 with a 9.35, it was much colder at this track was seeing almost an extra psi of boost, even though the 60' was down a tenth and a half still managed to run a good time. next pass tried the transbrake off the line, it stepped out right out the hole, definitely too much in it. back off the footbrake, about 4.7psi launch, went 1.50 60' and 9.26, unfortunately we don't have a mph as the speed trap wasn't working right. we guess a 150mph pass would be on the money [ame]

just the basic engine mods OPG/CG. Twin Precision 6062, log style manifolds, 50mm TurboSmart gates, 4'' Plazmaman cooler

that's about on the money, might be showing 50rwhp down, takes about 1000-1050hp @ the engine for a 4100lb car to go 148-149mph we know a 'Glide roughly chews about 25% through the drivetrain, made exactly 713rwhp on the dyno, probably showing another 10-20rwhp @ the track with the extra load/cool air.
