Which gives a better sound (which I know is totally subjective)? Resonator delete and an aftermarket X pipe with factory exhaust? Or... leave resonator and just do aftermarket axle backs?

Wrong Forum!! My car is a GTPP, sorry. Can mods move this?

Although I have a V6, I think that axle back exhaust will sound better. The stock axle back mufflers are more restrictive than the resonator. Best advice is to watch some YouTube videos and compare the sounds and see which you like the most.

Good luck!

I've been impressed with the cars that have factory resonator and muffler deletes. You can just have a shop weld in pipes where the mufflers are... probably cost you $7.

For a GT, I'd definitely invest in a Corsa full exhaust system, or better yet stainless works full exhaust system with x-pipes..... Your car will sound like heaven
