So with saying all of that. How do stock cats handle the ghost cam tune?
It's a guess but
Probably doesn't sound as good
Possibly hurts the cats
Possibly get hotter than originally designed.

The ghost cam tune is only recommended with a full exhaust system that utilise high quality metal cats.

I would not recommend a Ghost Cam Tune on any Cat that are not high Flow.
Also the ghost cam tuning must be developed to minimize any "sooting" to ensure best results.

I have taken some pictures from our development vehicle cats that have traveled mainly in heavy traffic approx 1500 km with the tune.
We use Streetfighter 100 cell metal race cats.
As per pictures the inside of headers and cats are perfectly clean.

David, would it be fair to say that the car WILL lurch if you try and idle in first gear (manual)? Cos frankly, I can't see how that would be possible

As mentioned per post above #19.
No lurching at any point.
Perfect manners.

Our tuning development team has worked hard to ensure that "Ghost cam tuning" replicates a performance camshaft at idle while retaining normal driveabilty manners.

Cool. So you guys have it set up so that the car must be out of gear for the ghost cam to be in effect, yes?

No

In and out of gear.
A/C on A/C off
Loads on Loads off

When we talk about driveabilty, we mean all conditions.

David, with all due respect, I fail to see how it's possib,e that an engine that is basically "surging" can possibly drive smoothly when in gear, at idle, clutch disengaged. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.
Can you please provide a video of a vehicle crawling at idle with the bumpy idle in place?

Will do.

When in Adelaide come past our factory so you can hear, see and drive yourself first hand.

It's 100% driveable... and it sounds incredible!!!
Took the car for a spin while I was in the workshop getting stuff done for my car. You can feel the lumpy idle when you're creeping around at 1km/h but it's nothing like you are making it out to be - this isn't exactly like a top fuel dragster creeping through traffic! As soon as you drive it's silky smooth acceleration.

Ps if you don't like it in 2 minutes you can always just load out the ghost tune!

I guess SF must be using a different strategy to Lund. The lump in mine would throw you through the windscreen...
It's "driveable" in that you need to drive around it.
If SF have found a way to have a lumpy idle that doent make the whole car lump, props to them.

With the canned tune on the nGauge, are they able to be revised and retuned later, say for example I want to add a new intake manifold, or for E85? What's the costs? Cheers
