2.7l EB w/435ft-lbs of torque..?

3.5l EB w/485ft-lbs of torque..?

5.0 SC w/535ft-lbs of torque..?

Or would you rather have a different Ford Performance announcement, like a lightweight SV0-style Mustang instead..?

The dealer couldn't get my money fast enough if they made this...especially with the 525/480.

Well depending on what the final power rating on the Gen 3 Coyote..the 495/460 might actually be pretty much right on the money. I'm guessing that they'd go for an even 500 HP/450 TQ though.

I'd personally prefer forged 19" rims over 20's for weight purposes.

This would be my ideal upgrade from my Mach 1, I'd have to find a way to make it happen. For the unique hood, I'd be SO hoping they had a proper shaker and a front fascia somewhere in between the GT and GT350 (or something even more unique that looks beautiful)

Only thing that'd be missing is Grabber Blue :(

Ah, I forgot to add......and the return of Azure Blue :headbang:
That'd be sick, I do love the color on the Mach's. But I'm more of a fan of bright colors (hence the Torch Red in my avatar) but if they released a 2018 mach 1 without grabber blue, one of the first things I'd have to do is get it Grabber Blue somehow.

I would obviously love to pick up a GB '17 GT350 but I'm holding out :/

I always assumed the Azure Blue was a stand-in for Grabber Blue (and Competition Orange for Grabber Orange). I wonder why they didn't use that color again till a bit later...

It might very well have been, I just think the color is absolutely beautiful and exactly what I would want. When I was considering getting a 2016 GT I was debating between Race Red/Deep Impact Blue but the minute I heard the rumors of Grabber Blue and saw pics I was all over it. It's probably my favorite mustang color ever, partially because it stands out but it also looks so great in every aspect.

Didn't actually fall in love with it as much until I saw it in person at Night Moves in March of last year (Virginia Beach) where the youtuber ThatDudeInBlue had his sitting outside someones booth.

I'm still not convinced that there will be a Mach1, there's not any real evidence to support it. I do think its likely that some form of SE will show up, probably for '19MY, but what it'll be is anyone's guess at this point. That said, I've been hoping for a Mach1 myownself, but I wouldn't say no to a nicely done Bullitt in DHG...

My guess:

5.0L Coyote with GT350 heads/cams/intake manifold, 7.5k redline

500HP/440Ft-lb

May not ever be a Mach 1, but it's cool to dream about...

I was thinking about this - if there is to be a Mach1, what would Ford do with the hood? With the lowered front end now in place, it seems like a shaker scoop stacked way up on top would look all kinds of awkward. The SN95 Mach had an additional rise to enclose the scoop base, then the actual scoop protruded up above that. That sort of set up combined with the low grill opening would look very tall. OTOH, the recent changes to the front would coordinate with a NACA duct hood, like on the '71-'73 cars, quite well. Or at least that's how I'd envision it...
