Roush S/C tune

So.. I had my PCM flashed when the S/C was installed, now I'm swapping my rear end ratio, I know that is changed in the BCM, but would any of those factors come into play or need to be retuned due to the fact Roush needed my VIN number for my programming and now my configuration is different from my VIN?

Almost positive you will need a new Roush tune.
What is the exact question?

I would expect I would have to pay for this new tune, if you can find out if there is a way for me to backup my current 3.73 tune to use if it swap the chunk back out for a different event, that would be great!

So at this point in time here is the process,


Take the car to the dealer to be flashed back to stock, at which point they would use IDS to set the gear ratio, then you would have to contact us and purchase another flash voucher for $100 then we would send the voucher and the car can be reflashed.


He did say they're looking to set the system up so a dealer can go in and change it without requiring a reflash but right now thats the way it is being done.

What am I gaining with this new tune? Is it just speedo correction?
Cause I'm just running it for 1 day on a closed course and my speed will be lasered.

You're not getting a new tune really. It's being reset to stock so the dealer can make the adjustment, then the preexisting file is reloaded essentially.

If I want to run some type of data logger to record my performance in the 1/2 mile races we run, are there any out there that will still read my cars data or is all that encrypted out since I'm running the Roush tune? I had been told by the Ford tech, I would not be able to see anything.

You will need an IDS or RDT to log with.

But first I would need to buy a J2534 pass thru interface compatible with Ford, Correct?
And the ones I find are like $600-$1200.
