I've had Cup2's, R888's, Nt01's, and Hoosier R7's on my 350R, and the only tire that has produced a better lap time than the factory Cup2's is the Hoosiers. Ford did a fantastic job picking/developing the right tire for the 350R. The Nt01's, and R888's are just as sticky, probably even slightly more grip, but just don't have the front end feel of the cup2's, and can be kind of numb at the limit.
Thanks for the feedback. Ford said the Cup2 (and PSS for the 350) we're specially made and tuned for the chassis and needs of the platform.

How did those tires wear and last compared to the Cup2s?

The Hoosiers will cord the fronts after about 2 events (4 days), or about 20, 20 minute sessions. All the other tires mentioned including the Cup2's are more like 25+ sessions before cording the fronts.

Great insight, thanks. Curious to know how much you picked up with the Hoosiers?

Thanks!

So the Hoosiers had more grip but wore out about 5+ (20 minute) sessions sooner than the PSC2, R888R, & NT01 - which all lasted about the same?

What's your alignment? Is the outer front cording?

Have 2 sets of 6GR wheels which need rubber for my R. I prefer Hoosiers.

What size Hoosiers did you run? 295/315? Seems they do not make both stock sizes yet. Can't figure out which size to try and do not want to go square.

Thanks for any feedback.

For reference on my RS3 I have about 40 20 minute sessions. After this weekend it will be 54 20s. I rotate then and had them flipped on the rims though. I am -2 something on the front.

I’m getting 30-35 20 min seesions out of my cup2 fronts with -2 camber and about double that life on the rears. Fronts are 305 and rear are 315.

So if you rotated you could probably get 50 not bad. I run a square setup

One plus reason to run square. You can rotate tires and get a few more sessions out of the set

I have figured it out to be right around a half second faster per mile of track with the R7's. The A7's should be more like a full second per mile of track faster.
Thanks!

alignment settings have been all over the place experimenting, but I'm currently at -2.8 front, and -1.7 rear. I should have also mentioned this is running in advanced group, and often even driven by my driver coach and IMSA Pro Jade Buford, so it's being pushed really hard all the time.

I run 315/30 square on the R7's. Works great!
Thanks for any feedback.
I run 315/30 square on the R7's. Works great! I was going to try the 315/325 combo next time but after some testing with a friends R running that combo, we feel that the shorter 315/30 in the rear allows the car to accelerate faster off corner exit. And since the car still tends to understeer when pushed, any added grip to the rear form the 325 is only wasted...

What hot tire pressures are you running, I just tracked my non R with 315x35 rear and 315x30 front. The car was fast but had way too much push so we only ran one session.

Tire wear also has to do with the track's abrasiveness and how fast you drive (slow = last longer).

So are all of you guys wearing out the inner or outer edge of your front tires? Also, are you on OEM R wheels or aftermarket aluminum?

SVTDSM - Same question. Also, do the PSC2, R888R, & NT01 all last about the same on track?

I'm running 38-40 psi hot. Are you running 315's on the stock 10.5" wide front wheels? .

I have been cording the outer edge of the fronts. The Toyo's and Nitto's might wear out slightly faster than the Cup2's.
