I have a 16 GT PP and am wanting to get the Project6gr wheels. I am so torn between 19's or 20's my plan is to do a square setup, so 285/35 square. My issue with 19's , I'm afraid it may look small since my car is lowered 1". But with 20's I'm worried about the car sitting up too high and it not turn, take corners very well. I do plan on doing some auto x and maybe roadcoursing but nothing heavy. Any thoughts?

It depends on your priorities.
If you plan to do autocross at all, then go with 19s.
If you want a more aggressive appearance, then go with 20s.
20s will fill in the wheel gap better, but also ride a little stiffer because of the shorter sidewall.

19's also weigh less. I went with a 19X10 square setup on Forgestar F14's. Just waiting to get some PS4S tires.

You understand that the outside diameter of the tire will be the same, right? The height of the wheel & tire package will be the same, with either the 19" or the 20" rims.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but surely a 285/35 sidewall on a 20 is the same as on a 19

I think he was referring to the 19" wheel appearing smaller, which it will...but just marginally.

I have 20s, wish I would have gone with lighter 19s. I put my stock 19s back on. Much more pep. At first the stock wheel looked small but after a few weeks it looks perfect to me.

I just installed a set of SVE S350 20x10 (square) on PS4S. It rides and looks fantastic. You will love the PS4Ss :headbang:

When he posts "I'm worried about the car sitting up too high and it not turn, take corners very well", it gives the impression of not understanding +1, etc.

This is one of those "red or blue" questions.......no really wrong answer. I went with 19" SVE GT350 look-alikes is 19x11 & 19x10 to get 305 rubber on the back with the blower installed. I simply like the look of 19's better than 20's....and it does likely save a few pounds on each corner......but again, purely subjective reasoning, in my case.

I have 20x9.5 front and 20x10 rear with 275/35 front tires and 275/40 rear tires. I was very worried because I like decent sidewalls for daily driving. I usually don't like going lower than 35mm sidewalls on 19's. I can tell you mine ride really nice for 20's. If you go wider then you need to lower the sidewall height. The car may look better with shorter sidewalls but the drivability will suffer some.

19s for performance and ride comfort. 20s for looks (although the 19s still look pretty cool). I went 19" square Project6gr and no regrets here. I didnt want a ride any harsher than necessary, and FWIW the 19s may look a little "deeper" than the 20s because the offset doesnt change. For a show car, 20s for sure.

I’ve got the 20” foundry wheels. I like their appearance much better than a 19” wheel. I think it gives a more aggressive look.

Both are great options! 19" would be the most popular.

Here are some pics of the 19x10 squared setups:
