What it will allow you to do is feel the clutch more, so it will allow you to slip the clutch smoother than with the factory spring.

Plus, if there's any potential for noise, or even worse, mechanical issues, why not resolve that concern for $10

It sure is! Not worth the possibility of leaky seals in the future.
