Hey,
I'm new to Mustang modding and well...Mustangs so bare with me! I just bought one a few days ago and I'm waiting to pick it up but I have a question about getting new wheels but I don't know how it works.

Let's say I want to get this set of wheels:

Can mechanics/wheel shops take off the wheels of my current tire and add the new wheel in or do I have to get a wheel and tire package? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm still new to this kind of thing haha. Also, if this helps I'm in Maryland so if anybody knows a good mechanic/auto shop I'd love to know!

The link did not work. but I see it says 19x8. I'd buy a more aggressive wheel if you're going to spend the money. 19x9.5 or 19.x10 all the way around. The stock tires should work. Any tire shop will be able to handle it.

Oops sorry. I updated the link. Would getting a larger tire or any aftermarket wheel affect the TPS?

Personally I think those wheels are weak. Take at look at the new GT350 wheels they just released. Just about the same price.

Any shop can just move your sensors over. No big deal

The TPS measure pressure. 32 psi in a 255/40/19 or in a 325/30/19 is still 32 psi.

I like Velgen's 20 inch VMB7 wheels. But I'm biased.

Velgens are sick but nearly impossible to find under $400/wheel unless used.

True. That's about what I paid when you throw in the shipping charge. I bought directly from Velgen and got a little bit of a discount.

One other thing about Velgen, and I have a post about it somewhere on this forum. They are truly customer oriented.

I screwed up the original powder coat finish on my Gunmetal VMB7s using a cheap ass wheel cleaner. I posted a warning here on the forum about my mistake, and a few days later, Scott Velgen calls me.

Bottom line - he was willing to replace the wheels and I would just be out the two way shipping costs.

But I had already arranged with a local powder coater to redo the wheels.

So instead of swapping them, Scott sent me a check for half the costs of having them re-powder coated. And this was not Velgen's fault at all; the mistake was mine.

Now that's customer service.

Not to thread jack, but that's absolutely astounding customer service!
