MyColor on non-Premium? Hack/flash/reprogram?

I'm guessing that the gauges have the hardware that should allow non-white background lighting (based on the fact that part number for the PP gauge-pack for base or premium trims being the same). So there's gotta be a way to hack/program the gauge background lighting to emulate MyColor.

I know that the Focus/ST guys have hacked their IP's to do all kinds of stuff via an OBD connection to laptop, and even have a windows program to unlock/achieve a bunch of cool stuff. Is this something anyone's tried on the base 'stangs?

I am working on this right now. Im just waiting on a few parts to get hear so i can mod my obd2 scanner into a pass through

I would loveeeee to be able to change the color of my guages. Although cool, I can do without the interior mood lighting since that is actual hardware my car does not have, but the guages would be awesome if a software hack can change them.

It will be once i get my hack on. I have high hopes from some of the things ive heard/read.

Well, I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread!

It's the biggest aesthetic selling point to me, don't see why they didn't offer it in non premium models
