3.55 feels like 3.73

First gear is so damn short. I have a base with the 3.55s but damn it feels like 3.73s. I have to quick shift off the line to keep up with traffic.

1st gear is steeper in the auto vs the mt-82, you should feel it with a stall speed converter its madness!

I feel your pain man I'm supercharged with 3:73s its insane. I'm running a slightly taller tire but I'm going to be replacing with 3:55s. If I add any power I'll be running out of gear in the 1/4 I'm a beaver hair from tapping the limiter crossing the beams at 7600 rpm.

Ideal gear for boosted cars
Auto - 3.15's
Manual - 3.31's

I DD 3.73 and 1st doesnt seem all that bad

5th gear on backroads is awesome

It's by no means undriveable but as power increases you have to be more and more gentle with that go pedal. lol it's just not optimal.

Yeah, but you can get out of the hole/turns faster.

I wonder if anyone has tried the 4.09:1 Super 8.8 yet.

I think there are 3.31:1 Super 8.8 R&P sets out there, but maybe just OE from FordParts.com or a dealer.

I think you can switch out the LSD witha torsen.

Here I was thinking I love how long first gear is compared to my old car LOL. Coming from a car that had a 4.10 final drive, and 1st gear would be almost at redline at like 17-20mph.

Definitely like it better than how the 3.31 feels though coming off the line.

3.55 feels like 3.73
