Some people should have their 6spd by now but I've not heard anything about the changes, or feel of it vs the "old" MT-82. I haven't seen anything stating what was changed/updated.

According to someone (I forgot his name ) at Ford Performance Techline who looked up the specs this morning the MT82-D4 used in the 2018 5.0 Mustang gear ratios are:

3.24, 2.10, 1.42, 1, .81, and .62

For the PP2 that sounds like the initial post (in that other thread) guessing MPH wasn't to far off.
Assuming 3.73 rear and 26.2in tire @ 7400rpm

3.24 - 47.73MPH
2.10 - 73.64
1.42 - 108.9
1 - 154.64
.81 - 190.91
.62 - 249.41

Holding out hope that the PP2 keeps the current MT82 ratios instead of these "gas mileage" ratio's... otherwise I'm thinking of just holding onto my 16 or moving up to a GT350.

Obviously I would need to drive one to come to a reasonably conclusion but on paper I do not like those ratios. The MT-82 + 3.73's was definitely not for everyone, but man it felt sweet going WOT through the lower gears especially 3-4.

Conversely for SCCA FS autocrossers who have been dealing with the stump puller 2nd gear and the track 3rd gear :D 2nd will look pretty good. :)

Actually I think that is a pretty good ratio. The 15-17 first 5 gears are a bit too close where 5-6 is too tall.
Now it's pretty evenly spread out. Om my 3.31 I always feel like 5th gear at 45-55mph the rpm is too high but if I go to 6th, it's gutless.

I like the new ratios. Who wants to be shifting gears like theyre driving a peterbilt lol. Two shifts and all you gotta do is wind out 3rd for a 1/4 mile run.
The 18's are trapping at 117-118 so you will have to shift to fourth.

We used to have this same problem with the Mach 1's. Guys would have to bounce it off the fuel cut off because shifting into 4th actually lost time and mph. Is 7400 the soft red line or fuel cut off for the '18? Also we don't know if the manuals will trap as high as the automatics but we'll know soon.
Well after just a couple of mods they may be.

6th in the 10A on oem diameter tires.:D

Regarding the limiter in one of the TFLC videos Carl Widmann (chief engineer) took it to the limiter sitting in the parking lot. Over 7350 and under 7400 is what I saw. I'm guessing this was the "soft closing the throttle plates iimiter vs. total fuel cut. 500 rpm higher than my 15 under load (I'm too old to purposely rev an engine to the limiter with no load).

The car was a manual GTPP with digital dash.

I detailed the changes to the MT82 in an upcoming video but I love the ratios with the 3:73s. In my old car I was always in 5th, its nice to have 4th usable again.
