I'm looking to change just the exhaust tips on my EB.
I'm planning on keeping the stock exhaust and just want to get rid of those puny tips.
I found a few "bolt on" sets from Remus, and they are unbelievably pricey.

I know that the tips on the factory cans come out at an odd angle.
Has anyone tried a "tipectomy" with satisfactory results?

lets discuss.......

$555 for all the pain that goes with trying to get them to fit?

Buy an axle-back system and be done with it.

the more I look, it seems like a straight tip swap will be impossible with the little droop that the pipe takes when it comes out the back of the muffler.

I kinda dig the Roush tips on my axle back exhaust.

For way less than $555 you can have a muffler shop weld on some tips.

Get 4 inch tips from vibrant and have a competent muffler shop weld them. Less than 100$

Those prices are nuts for just tips.

Call me crazy, but I went opposite of most people. I put 3 inch tips on when I had a muffler delete done. I figured what the hell is the point in 4-4.5 inch tips on a 2.25 - 2.5 inch pipe

Find a used axleback for sale. You live in the most populated area in the entire country. I'm sure there are some decent used sets that are within 30 minutes of you. I'm guessing you are trying to go this route since you don't want to spend hundreds on a new set. The tips will make the car sound exactly the same just look slightly different.

Have an exhaust shop cut and weld on tips. They all have different sizes of tips they can weld for you.

It's not even for the money savings, I'm quite satisfied with the stock exhaust, just looking to get a better looking rear end. (aren't we all?)

Been thinking about this as well. I actually like the stock exhaust but the tips are really bad.
