Adam doesn't like pushing much over 700rwhp on 93. And he's not a fan of the driveability of the cams that are out there and prefers stock. I make plenty of power on stock cams, so I tend to agree with him. His E85 tuning has gotten pretty good too.
How does your car drive with 3:73 gears and 900 wheel? Does it hook in 1-3?

Swapped to 3.31 for half mile racing. 3.73s are too aggressive with the MT82 and my power level.

Ordered a Procharger stage2 D1x from beefcake today. My current stage 3 comp cams and trick flow 1 springs will be removed to give way to brand new stock cams and livernois springs..
A few vendors have great custom grind blower cams. Would get a few extra ponies for sure.

Adam says i will get better results with the stock cams. he didnt go into detail said it has something to do with losing boost because of overlap!! I guess its why comp cams makes camshafts specifically for boost and others for n/a!
That's funny, when these cams started coming out and I wondered about too much valve overlap with big na cams, everyone called me crazy.

Update: the kit has been paid for since 11/17. The order is now with Procharger to be built. I called the beefcake about turn around times he said 2 weeks to be shipped. Called pro charger and they said the latest is 3 weeks np. My appointment with rev auto is 11/27 and i know i wont make that date, but rev says its ok because they have a p1x build there now, then mine will be next and then a whipple build. With my logistics it looks like they will be tuning my car & the whipple back to back. All these cars are pump gas cars so naturally they want to compare them. My car will be the 1st d1x they will tune!

I think it is all in tuner preference. Lund runs same cams in his turbo car and has tuned several others and made great power.

What made you go with a Procharger this time around?
because i had a paxton 2200sl a good unit in my last car. The d1x is a bad ass blower. i like the Head unit placement, i like the ease of installation and and de-installation if i need to return to stock, like the fact of being able to drive home if i break a belt. I like that placement of the maf sensor which gives you a cleaner signal for better drive ablilty..also like the straight cut gears and the sound of it. Also the Paxton set up cant be started in temperatures below 25 degrees f according the Paxton owners manual. it can void your warranty and can damage the head unit. Not the case with pc...

Also.changing the pulley on the d1 is a lot easier then the paxton.

D1X = Baddest blower out there right now for these motors.

You will LOVE it. :) Not to mention if you ever turn it up on E85 that blower can go well into the 4 digit range. :)

Not to thread jack but didn't want to resurrect a long since dead thread...Can us lowly D1SC owners send them in for the D1X upgrade yet? Never saw a cost or a "good to go" post on this. If you need a test mule just let me know!

Now back to the original OP...Subbed for results!
