I put the MPSS on my C6Z06 and they hook pretty well. I may try them on my TT 2016 Mustang. I have NTO1 305 on it now and they won't hook in the first 3 gears. It is hard to get them warmed up this time of year though. It was about 65 degrees when it tried it last.

I know guys with challengers and chargers really seem to like the atturo az800 &850 for the money. I figure I will give them a try next year.
With those treadwear ratings, no thanks.

I would have though the potenza RE11's or RE71R's would have been on your list before the RE050A's.

Just use an average tire for the street and swap a DR in when you want traction.

Invos are my getting around tire. Won't hook from 40mph or shifting into 3rd. But it's not meant to handle that.

The RE71R has a max size of 305 and I'm looking for a minimum size of 325.

Thanks, I didn't see the RE11 specs until you mentioned them:

Softer compound > bigger tire size. There's a reason people run very sticky tires in high power applications.

Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
Pick up a proper bias-ply slick / front runner.
A street tire will not give you the performance you are looking for, and a drag radial will turn that drivetrain into Puerto Rico.

I have Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on the front (285-35-19s) and Michelin Pilot Super Sports rear (325-30-19s). I'm not FI yet but plan too. This in relation to the original post. Does anyone have experience on the Toyo R8888 vs Michelin Pilot SS/S4s?

I have Michelin PS 4s, just switched from MT street comp and night and day difference. I'm on a staggered with 305 rears, I can now hook 2nd, before I couldn't grip 3rd

Speaking from experience on the Nitto Invo. It WILL NOT hook at that power level. I had 315's on my 11 Shelby and I would still break loose from low rolls. Easily. I was at 700+ RWHP. 680 Tq.

Only have experience between the two on track days but I was way more consistent with MPSS at speed than the R888s. The R888s would hook better in low gear but then the MPSS had superior traction at high speed over any bumps in the track. More confidence in the MPSS tires, for me personally.

Less tire discusson, more suspension discussion to get it put down. The S550 in stock trim does not transfer or hold steady power for squat. Better tires will help, but ultimately needs the suspension tailored for putting down decent power.
