For me its gonna be a pro charger d1x of which i will be ordering next week. I like Ease of installation (no cutting), the ease of returning it back to stock. if the belt breaks you can still drive home. I like the location of the head unit. I like Sound of the straight cut gears..also the maf sensor location gives a cleaner less sparratic signal to the ecu for better drivability. My previous car was a paxton s197 car it was a good set up!

Paxton all day... Cheaper and makes more power for less...install does not require any cutting besides a small tab on the fan (plastic) which can be done with a pair of dikes in 1 minute or less honestly..

Did you read this part of the paxton/vortech owners manual:

In order to achieve the low noise level of Paxton
Superchargers , Paxton specifies manufacturing procedures that call for minumum internal clearance. These precise tolerances however are not conducive to temperatures below 25°F. Therefore , storing the vehicle in a heated garage and/or
employing the use of an engine block
heater/aftermarket engine blanket is required when the vehicle is subjected to a " cold start up " in ambient temperatures below 25 degrees F. Failure to comply with this may result
In immediate supercharger failure and invalidate the
Supercharger warranty.

Did not know that, However here in GA it gets to 25 or below maybe only a handful of times in the year.

Where i live it gets like that almost every day in winter & i dont have a garage. So with my last car which was a paxton car, i did’nt dare start it up in that temperature! I didnt want to risk damaging my head unit!

There are a bunch of hoses you need to cut, and the fuel pump wires for the BAP, but yes, as long as you buy new hoses, you can return to stock. Let's not sell this kid the dream of easy install either, clearance for the head unit and inlet pipe are a bitch

Not to derail the thread but does the Procharger have any temp restrictions? Ive started it up in 20F weather this weekend. ProChargerTECH

I will say this....

ProCharger is proud to be the equipment used to de-ice "Air Force One"
(and loads of other aircraft across the globe)

So no sir, our bearing tolerances have been military tested to extreme temps. :)

I just ordered a D1X myself and can't wait. Its an amazing blower, you are going to LOVE IT!!!

Last time I was on a jet that needed de-icing they sprayed the plane down with some sort of antifreeze, never seen one that got a blow dry. Does Procharger make blowers that move liquid or something using the same sort of internals?
