I know you can get LSD on Mustangs with or without Torsen but I am curious what is the non-Torsen LSD. Viscous type?

I imagine it's the same T-lok clutch pack diff that's been used for many years. Do enough burnouts and you'll eventually have a one wheel peeler.

That is no good. Maybe wear it out and upgrade to Torsen?

They're perfectly fine and actually preferable to the Torsen for hard launches or drag racing. Torsen is better for road courses but if you launch them too hard they'll grenade and there is no simple rebuilding the clutches like you can with the TrakLok.

One thing I notice about Torsen is it's very bipolar. You can go from perfectly fine to swinging the back out full sideways in a second.
Maybe thats why PP owners say their backend gets loose so easily and quickly.

Correlation does not = causation in this case.

You'd be more likely to get rear happy due to the 3.73 gears than the Torsen.

That's more likely the gears/tires and imperfect conditions. I managed to get an auto GT to start swinging the back out while accelerating in a straight line, granted it had the all seasons.

It can also because the rotary engine had very nonlinear torque response. It felt like Vtec when it hits 6000rpm.

It feels like. Not that it has Vtec.
There is a secondary shutter that opens up an additional side port at 6000rpm which acts like a longer lift and bigger lift intake cam.

Don't know what PM is, but the PP ecoboost does not have a torsen, it's the regular diff with 3.55 gears.

What does an auto ecoboost PM have

Saw 2 listed on beefcakes site, Ford and someone elses, and wondered what the difference was

Every model has the same Traction-Loc clutch-style differential with the exception of the GT with Performance Package and the Shelby GT350/R.
