Most likely based off of the 6.2 Boss engine family.
Hoping for a alloy block.

WTB- a 50th anniversary Shelby GT500 vert-;)
A new big block has been in the works for awhile.

IMHO it is no coincidence that Ford has a 7.0L motor in the pipeline in time for the Boss 429's 50th anniversary.

The quote below was posted way back in 08/2014 by a regional Shelby director. He also had spot on early info about the GT350 and Ford GT as well.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"We took a tour of Watson Racing last week on a trip to Dearborn...

I notice a few of you have mentioned the Trinity. The bombshell of the trip came when I heard the Romeo engine plant was closed off to tours because the plant was working on Voodoo and a NEW big block to replace the 5.8 -and said as if that information was just common knowledge."

I've heard rumors, and I usually don't throw much weight into their content. But this would make sense if Ford does decide to throw a Mach 1 or Boss 429 at the Hellcat."

I can just see the potential of a 7.0 liter V8 in the Raptor. Oh by the way, I bet the block will be aluminum. I would be all over that.

Out of interest, do you know which Shelby Regional Director this was? :)

Honestly these rumors keep getting crazier and crazier every day. This is getting ridiculous. Putting that engine in any Ford car makes no sense at all.
