70mph and up the car starts to sway pretty bad it's actually really scary. Idk what it is. Maybe a combination of the stock 255's up front and stock suspension. This is with the 305/35/19's.
Hm I don't experience the same thing and I'm on the 20s. No issue at 35 psi (thats how high the tire shop aired them up to when they put them on) or at 26 psi where I have them now.

:clap2:Somebody needs to put these Nitto 555r drag radials 305x35x20 on sale
BBwheelsonline has the best price on them hands down with free shipping. They are under 300 right now if you add them to your cart and wait a day they send you a coupon. Just looked at my receipt from when I got them and they were $570 shipped. They have coupons etc... all over the web. Big fan, I buy all my tires from them, no one touches their pricing.

Trying not to be a total ahole here but if you've got traction in 1st with G2s on a Whipple something isn't right man.
lol it's cool man. With my flight controls I have boost reduced in 1st gear by 25%. I can't go WOT in 1st, but I can def get on it pretty dam good. But these G2's hold very very well. I can go WOT in 2nd and it holds.
i just got the g2's installed last month. fairly impressed with them as well after a few hundred miles. 1st is still worthless for me but 2nd is a lot more doable. only thing i'm hoping for is to get some decent life out of them!
I have 305/30/20 G2's and they don't grip for shit, not that I expected them to. 1st spins at part throttle, 2nd spins violently, and even 3rd gear has spun violently on me to the point where the car tried to go sideways at 80. I need drag radials bad.

No FI Stang is going to get traction in first at WOT unless it's a prepped surface or MAYBE an auto with loooong gears. I've been very impressed with the 555Rs. They spin at the beginning of 2nd but hookup after that and I make 750/575 at the wheels. They drive much better than I expected in the rain. Even half throttle in the rain will hook up fine. I will be going to the 05Rs when these are done. I've even pulled 1.59 60s at the track with them. They also handle curves just fine.

I would not switch to 05'r. They were great for the first 500 miles then went to shit. On my 700 hp 93 tune they were ok started to hook in third after the initial tq hit. When I went e85 completely useless, unless heated up or in 4th. When I did my roll race event, 60 punch, I couldn't go full WOT without them spinning. This was in 3rd with the tr6060 around 3-3500 rpm tires at 19psi. I had to ease into them. Granted I was pushing high 8's low 9's but I would advise against it. This was with 345/30/19 NTo5R Sorry just my experience.

Is that tire size a typo? 345... Damn that's huge (that's what she said) that's not the first time over heard of issues with the 05Rs. Just not sure of another tire with good straight line traction without softer sidewall which isn't what I want for DD tires. They just haven't figured out a way to give us everything in 1 tire aye.

Nt05r arent that Wide. I have 315/35/20 and still looks like a 275. Plus one with FI negates 1-2nd gear WOT. Going to try my new Mickey T 28x11.5x17 and see how they hook

Well I'm glad I've read some not-so-great experiences from the NT05R's before buying them. I was thinking about going with them for really great street traction, but probably not anymore.

I just wish Nitto made the 555R in a 19" because I would definitely give that a try. Have a buddy that has the 555R's on his 2016 GT w/ Kenne Bell and they do alright on the street. He can take turns quickly in them and they're good to go. He says as long as it isn't a complete downpour, the rain isn't too bad.

For what it's worth, my 285/35/19 Continental ExtremeContact DW's have honestly done better than I thought they would after installing the Paxton. On a good road ( I repeat - a good road), 3rd hooks, 2nd hooks until about 4k RPM then just spins, and 1st obviously is useless. The DW's have pretty soft sidewalls though, so that probably helps. If the new ExtremeContact Sport's are as good as the DW's, I would be verrry interested to see how a little wider tire holds up. Not to mention it'll still have good manners in the rain and in overall handling.

How many miles do you usually get out of each set? And how hard are you on them? Burnouts?
