Dislike open cup holders,... so I made a new center console :-)

Hey Guys. A while back I asked if anyone made cupholder deletes for our center consoles. I didn't have any luck with it. I really dislike the look of the center cupholders, I believe its way to much "clutter". So I made a new center console sans cup holder.

Beautiful...I also want to know how this was done.

How do you access the keyless port that is under the rear cup holder with this change?
Or do you think you may never use it?

Nice job on the side panels as well.

I use my cup holders too much to get rid of them but I've wanted to wrap the console in alacantra since I bought it. One of these days I'll get the money together to tackle that project.

As much as I agree with you about the clutter, I too use my cup holders too much to cover them. But you have done an admirable job of covering. Well done.....

Nice job! but you could have made a insert that allowed the use of cup holders when needed got any alacantra left

I agree. I think it would look better with the console door covered as well.

Looks like a great spot to install a "GO-BABY-GO" button... just sayin...

But where will you put your coffee???

While I wouldnt want to get rid of them ( I do use them ) their placement is :rant: :rant: :rant: !

Especially if youre tall and have long arms, anything taller than a coke can is annoying, and even those are annoying...

If cup holders are clutter you wouldn't like my cockpit very much. Two smart phones, two radar detectors and a police scanner.

I had to cut and shave down the cupholders. Then rebuild it with a plastic backing and and bondo on top. Took some time, but I LOVE the final product. I also covered the sides as well.
