Edited to add the above link which takes you to the Europe section of the forum with a full thread on how to carry out the conversion :)

Apparently the TRI bar LEDs are just deactivated for the UK, will anyone else be switching them on? Because for me they make the car... There must be a way in IDS to switch them on.

Calvin, I believe the LeD's are not in place.
Maybe post on the euro section, ask one of the guys to have a look at their lights, see if LED's are inside.

Tell us more :))
Mate there has been many things like this.. Ford are two tight to produce a new head light cluster so it would make more sense to just deactivate it cost wise.

Hopefully yours will get a build date soon. There was a red top that came out the other day with dates of when cars should be scheduled from and mine was said to be September but I'm ahead of some of champs league orders lol.. That's a shame...

I think they will be a different headlight, ours are RHD headlights,
They won't put led's and circuit boards in if they don't have to.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't have the DRL LED boards installed

Nick C.
Fingers crossed ....

Ian they can probably be swopped from left hand to right hand drive like the my focus St3 lights mate in the setting menu, don't need the stickers for Europe these days.

I don't think there is a setting in the menu,.
When I had my kuga, you could turn a screw on the headlight to move the beams from RHD to LhD, don't think they have these either.

When I spoke to the lightingfirm about tribars they told me they have some RHD headlights in stocks.

Still puzzled why these are not allowed in the UK. One of the reasons is that they are visible from the side but so are the ones on the new Mondeo.

Would be nice of someone at Ford to specify why these various changes have occurred rather than all of us guessing.

Don't remember the company name but it has been posted earlier the LED's are not present.
A light specialist got hold of 10 EU front lights and confirmed it's empty ! I'll see if I can dig up the post. We should however be able to find out via Sauron (ESP) who got his car a couple of days ago..and get an official EU driver confirmation..
Diode dynamics do sell the LED tri-bars as product.
